R400 - Ident Code Reader

The Xiris R400 reads all barcodes and alphanumerics at a true reject rate of 100%. Its high-resolution digital area scan camera provides the ultimate in reliability, even for small code structures such as Sony® code. The LED light source auto-adapts to the reflection of the code type currently under check. This insures optimum brightness for all code images, irrespective of whether CD, DVD, HD-DVD or Blu-ray Disc, printed or metallized code.

Added-value is provided by a variety of new features as well as a newly designed graphical user interface that enhances user convenience yet further. Easier order processing, straightforward configuration and touchscreen capability were the driving factors behind the revamped software. Simplified operator interactions are supported by the new automatic configuration feature on all Xiris R400 ident code reader models. Including automatic center detection, automatic layer detection for L0 and L1 and the dynamic illumination adaptation, the R400 system is readily adjustable. With just one setup operation, these new features allow operators to cope with the high number of various types of discs and barcodes that are mostly located in different areas of application. There is no longer any need for superfluous parameter sets. Furthermore, newly implemented, easy-to-use OCR font databases reduce the workload when using a large number of fonts.
