As the optical disc market matures, many replicators find themselves with
older printing machines with dated Ident Code and Print Inspection systems.
Some of these systems have exceeded their useful lives with increased downtime,
maintenance requirements and no longer able to meet the needs of new formats
of discs. In addition parts and technical support for some legacy
systems no longer exist. Xiris Automation Inc. is pleased to announce
a solution to this problem with its Combo 3000 printer upgrade program.
Cameron Serles, President of Xiris comments that, “We were approached by
several of our prominent customers to upgrade the inspection systems on
some of their older printers that are still in excellent working order.
By incorporating the Combo 3000 inspection system our customers were able
to cost-effectively extend the useful lives of these printers while continuing
to print and deliver the correct discs to their customers.”
The Combo 3000 Unit includes the ID-1500 Ident Code reader and the PI-1500
Print Inspection system. Employing maintenance-free solid state light
sources with the latest in optical and software technology this system provides
the best quality tool for replicators in printing today. In most cases,
the Combo 3000 equipment can be quickly mounted on the same mounting hardware
of the units that they replaced.
