Xiris Delivers Over 60 Print Inspection

Xiris
announces that it shipped over 60 Print inspection systems during 2003. Its
new flagship product for this market, the PI1500, was enthusiastically received
by the market, purchased by a number of major disc manufacturers in North America
and Asia. The system can be configured as either a single head (for single feed
printers), or as a double head (for double feed printers) inspection system.
Part of the popularity of the PI1500 is that it can see most of the defects
that the human eye can see, for surface type defects, but also for print colour
defects such as colour drift, fading, etc. In addition, difficult to inspect
discs such as CD-Rs, metallic discs and low contrast discs can all be inspected.
