Xiris Ident Code systems Give New Life to Older Print Machines!

Xiris
has recently completed a major installation of its ID-2500 Ident Code Verification
systems for a large replicator. This installation replaced Ident Code systems
on older printing machines from a variety of manufacturers. These printing
machines typically would run anywhere from 70-140 parts per minute and were
all easily integrated with ID-2500 systems. What was interesting was that
the customer was able to cost justify the replacement systems based upon the
Return on Investment of implementing the ID-2500 with a higher read rate over
older existing Ident Code systems. Many of the existing Ident Code systems were
operating with 94-96% effective read rates, whereas the ID-2500 is capable of
correctly reading more than 99.9% of discs. The savings achieved with
the approximately 5% increase in read rates and reduction of falsely rejected
discs was enough to justify the cost of the replacement Ident Code systems and
achieve a payback of less than 12 months.
