• 1989 – Xiris Inc. founded as a private company by Cameron Serles
• 1992 – Developed XCaliper, world's first Machine Vision package for Windows®
• 1996 – Developed our first system for Optical Disc industry
• 1997 – Introduced our Ident Code system
• 2000 – Reoriented Company to focus on Optical Disc market
• 2001 – Introduced Print Check system
• 2002 – Established international dealer network
• 2005 – Established leadership in the Optical Disc Market, with over 1,000 systems sold
• 2008 – Developed inspection system for the tube and pipe industry
• 2009 – Introduced the WI-2000p post weld inspection system for Laser Welding Tube Mills
• 2010 – Developed High Resolution version of our WI-2000p system

From 2001 to the present, Xiris' focus in the optical disc industry allowed the company to expand its reach internationally. By 2005 we delivered over 1000 inspection systems into the optical disc industry to become the leading technology provider of inspection systems. As the Optical Disc market matures, Xiris management is looking for additional markets to pursue that are willing to adopt new advanced technology. A newly identified industry segment for Xiris inspection systems is the steel tube and pipe industry. Xiris aims to enter this sector for optical quality control.
